The Wigsville Spliffs were formed in 1981 and were a popular band of the London Psychobilly and Neo Rockabilly scene during the 80s. At that time, they appeared on many Neo Rockabilly and Psychobilly compilations until they split up in 1987. During the 90s they came together again to play some gigs. Although many songs of the Wigsville Spliffs were released on compilations, they had never recorded their own studio album by the time they split up. In 2008 the band reformed with the original line-up and recorded the songs for "FAT 41", their first complete album, in 2011. On this CD, they deliver a mixture of Neo Rockabilly, Classic Rockabilly with some songs being inspired by Rockin' Blues and Caravans-style Country Bop.
